Since 2021, I’ve served as a communications strategist and information specialist IV for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).

Previously, I served as the the lead writer-editor for the Texas County & District Retirement System (TCDRS) (2013–2021), the managing editor of the Texas Veterinarian, the magazine of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (2010–2012); the assistant editor for HerbalGram, the journal of the American Botanical Council (2007–2010); and a temporary editor for D Magazine and D Home (2003–2004).
